Hi everybody! I officially have 52 days left until I leave! It feels like it’s coming up so so fast! A lot has happened over the past few months and I’ve got some pretty big updates for you all, so get ready! ☺️

The end of high school…

I realize my last post was in August, so sorry it’s been so long. I’m now officially a graduated high school student! The end of high school was an absolute whirlwind with AP tests, big exams, wrapping up clubs, and too many projects to count! Throw in prom, end of year events, seeing friends who are soon heading off to different universities, hanging out with family, and working at the restaurant, and I was quite a busy girl! I had a lot on my plate and it was super overwhelming at times. I struggled a lot to take time out for myself and to spend with God. However, I made it to graduation (thank goodness) and I am now enjoying a little bit more of a restful summer!

Although everything was hard to manage at times, I am so grateful for all the blessings I’ve had as well. My friends and family have been such a support and encouragement to me, and I am so blessed to have them in my life. And thank you to all of you for sticking by me as well! I’m also very appreciative for all the opportunities I’ve been given and the things I’ve been able to do. I am filled up with gratitude!

Summer plans!

As far as this summer, I’m working as a nanny to this lovely family for the majority of it. It’s definitely hard work, but it’s also been really fun! On weekends, I’ve been enjoying my home state with plenty of hikes, lakes, and camping trips with friends! We’ve got one last family vacation coming up in August as a sort of last hurrah, but I’ll be sticking around other than that. We’ve had lots of extended family staying with us these past few months, which has been super fun, and I’m grateful for the time I got to spend with them!

BIG CHANGE!!

Okay, switching topics, I got a call a few weeks ago that there was another problem with my route. This time, there wasn’t enough staff to cover the route I was on, and I would therefore have to choose another route again. To be honest, I was really disheartened. As you all know, there’s now been quite a few switches to my route specifically, and it’s been hard not to feel a little shaken and disappointed by the instability.

And I just want to say that I’m sorry to have to share another route update with you – I know it can be a lot to keep track of, and I truly appreciate your patience as things keep shifting.

In the midst of it all, though, God reminded me that He is still in control. None of this is a surprise to Him, and He has a plan. I trust that I’ll end up exactly where I’m meant to be!

New Route…

So what is this new route? I will be going to Colombia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and South Africa!

So after training in Georgia, I’ll be going to Colombia first! Colombia is a country full of color, rhythm, and breathtaking landscapes, from the Andes to the Amazon. Colombia has such a rich culture, but it’s also been through a lot. Violence, addiction, and a growing refugee crisis have left many people hurting. Even so, there’s a deep sense of hope rising. While we’re there, we’ll get to walk alongside people in hard places, offering support, building relationships, and sharing the love of Jesus in real and tangible ways.

Next, we’ll head to Vietnam. Vietnam’s history is full of conflict and pain, and even today, freedom — especially religious freedom — is still very limited. Most people don’t claim any faith at all, and many are still searching for meaning. We’ll get to step into that and shine a light as we serve practically and are present for people. I’m praying that God uses us to plant seeds of hope in a place that deeply needs it.

Then, we’ll travel to the Philippines, which is a beautiful nation made up of thousands of islands, warm hospitality, and deep cultural roots. But underneath all the beauty, there’s a lot of brokenness. Many families live in extreme poverty, and some are forced into heartbreaking choices just to survive. We’ll have the chance to love and serve communities in need — playing with kids, encouraging families, sharing meals, and reminding people they’re not forgotten.

Last is South Africa! This one was actually on my original route, so it’s cool that it’s back again! South Africa is known for soccer, safaris, and a beautiful coastline. While we’re there, we will be working with children in the schools, teaching, and playing soccer. We will be meeting locals in the communities, praying for them, and helping in any possible way!

So that’s the new route!! I’m excited to see these new places!

How you all have made a difference!

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately, and honestly, I just keep coming back to how incredibly thankful I am. Every message, every prayer, every bit of encouragement has meant the world to me. This journey hasn’t always been easy, but your support has reminded me again and again that I’m not walking it alone. It’s been so humbling and beautiful to see how people have shown up, and it’s been such a powerful reminder of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

As far as fundraising goes, I’m so encouraged by the progress so far! Seeing people give so generously has completely blown me away. I’m currently at 57%, which is such a huge milestone, and I truly didn’t expect to get here this quickly! Your generosity is not only helping me take real steps forward, but it’s also reminded me that I’m surrounded by people who believe in this with me. Thank you for being part of this with me — it’s truly a gift I’ll never stop being grateful for!!

Wrapping up…

Anyways, that’s about it for now. I know that was a lot of updates, but thank you so much for sticking with me through it all! These next 52 days are going to be packed with preparation, goodbyes, and so much anticipation, and I’m so glad I get to share it with you all.

Please continue to pray for peace in the midst of the unknown, for boldness as I step into these next chapters, and for the people we’ll get to meet along the way. If you feel led to support me, whether through prayer, encouragement, or giving, know that it means more than I can ever fully express.

I’ll keep sharing as I go, so stay tuned for more updates as launch day gets closer! Love you all and thank you again for walking with me through this wild, beautiful journey!

Much love,

Kezia ❤️
